HHW Collection & Computer Recycling Program

The City of Allen partners with the City of Plano to offer Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collection. The City offers this separate collection service to keep the environment free of chemical contamination.

Residents can schedule an HHW pickup for small quantities of household chemicals. Accepted HHW items are listed here. The chemicals are processed at City of Plano facilities and returned to the City of Allen's Chemical Reuse Center.
Items suitable for reuse are available free of charge to Allen and Plano residents. However, chemical reuse centers are not licensed to accept HHW drop-offs.

Allen also recycles old computers and electronic equipment. The City plans annual drop-off events and other computer and electronic recycling programs.
