Community Services
The Community Services Department maintains streets, alleys and sidewalks, water and sewer lines and drainage systems. It also provides trash and recycling collection services through a contract with Community Waste Disposal Inc. (CWD). Other department efforts include water conservation and environmental education and support for Keep Allen Beautiful.
The City of Allen is a member city of North Texas Municipal Water District. NTMWD provides essential water supply, wastewater and solid waste disposal services to 10 counties in the North Texas region. They serve as a wholesale provider while the city maintains local infrastructure and operational support to provide these services to customers. This includes Utility Billing for water, trash and recycling services.
The Community Services Department consists of more than 100 employees dedicated to delivering excellent customer service to the residents and businesses of Allen.
The City of Allen is rated as a Superior Water system, the highest level possible. Monthly water quality reports and annual consumer confidence reports are provided by NTMWD on their Water Quality Reports page. The City of Allen also monitors water quality and publishes an Annual Water Quality Report.
